MACGT: Advancing Cell & Gene Therapy in Malaysia

In 2025, the Malaysia Association for Cell and Gene Therapy (MACGT) strengthened its role as a key industry voice through active engagement with regulators, industry stakeholders, and international partners. MACGT contributed to national regulatory discussions on Cell and Gene Therapy Products (CGTPs), led thematic initiatives in precision medicine, participated in high-level stakeholder engagements on regenerative medicine, and formalised international collaborations to advance research and innovation.

As we move into 2026, MACGT aims to work even more closely with regulatory authorities, industry players, clinicians, researchers, and investors to support responsible innovation, strengthen policy frameworks, and accelerate the growth of Malaysia’s cell and gene therapy ecosystem. Our focus remains on fostering collaboration, ensuring patient safety, and enabling sustainable industry development.

We invite existing members to renew their membership and warmly welcome new members who share our vision to join MACGT. Together, we can shape the future of cell and gene therapy in Malaysia and the region.
